Thank you for phonebanking

• This phonebank is all about getting Voters ready for the November election, spread the news about our endorsements, and mention Duresky (see script for how we can do that without violating PDC rules)

• The phonebank is available to you from 9am - 8pm

• Don’t worry, the voters on our list are all good Democrats according to VoteBuilder

Please note:

In order to retain information about who has been contacted and to update VoteBuilder information, please answer the survey question if you actually speak with someone before you move on to another call. 👍🏻

You will be using a computer and your phone to phone bank.

You will set up your computer to see the phone bank screen, and then use your phone to make the calls.

You will get a link from your Okanogan Dems organizer, and a code to enter on that first Get Started page.

If you do not have an Action ID, you will need to create one. If you don’t remember your Action ID, click on “Don’t remember your password?” and try to reset, using your email.

If you still cannot get in, email us. We do not have access to Action ID information, but we can help you take next steps.

Before you make that first call, practice saying the script out loud a few times.

The script contains information we want to convey to the voters in this pre-Get Out the Vote time (GOTV will begin mid-October). This includes:

• this important midterm election is Nov 3

• ballot drop boxes are safe and secure; we recommend you use them

• there is a Voter Guide on our website with our endorsements for John Duresky and other candidates

• We are recommending a NO vote for all three initiatives

• website is okanogandemocrats.org

• how they can volunteer if they want to help the midterm effort

• Thank you for voting

You will probably use the script at first, and then get more natural in your language.

In the course of your conversation, find out if they plan to vote, and click on that survey answer.

Please note:

In order to retain information about who has been contacted, the SURVEY QUESTION MUST BE ANSWERED before you move on to another call.

If you don’t reach a voter OR if you leave a message or text, click the red box under the voter’s name. Choose in the list of reasons why you weren’t able to reach the voter or if you left a message or sent a text.

Click the Save & Next Call button at the bottom of the page when you’re done.

Sample voicemail:

“Hello, no need to call back, the Okanogan Democrats are calling to remind you about the midterm election on Nov 3, an important election. We urge you to get your ballots in as soon as possible and use a ballot box. See our site for endorsements okanogandems.org. Thank you for voting.
