Precinct Committee Officers are the heart of our party

  • A precinct is the smallest geographical “neighborhood,” on the political map. All voters in a precinct are in the same city, legislative district, and congressional district. Okanogan County has 102 precincts that vary in size but most have between 50 and 500 voters.

  • A Precinct Committee Officer is the elected official that represents the voters of a precinct within a major political party in the State of Washington.

  • PCOs are expected to participate in County and Legislative District Committee elections, get to know the voters in their precincts, and do as much as time allows to help get Democrats elected to office.

  • If you send us your precinct number or street address (the one associated with your voter registration), we will email you the name of your PCO. You can look up your precinct number on the WA Secretary of State VOTEWA website.

  • There are 2 ways to become a PCO — by election, or by appointment.

Candidates can file for election to be be a PCO online, by mail, or in person at the Okanogan County Auditor's Office.
