Become a Dem Precinct Committee Officer (PCO)
It's one of the most important roles in our party.
  • PCOs are the main point of information and contact for voters in your precinct and within the Democratic Party.
  • PCOs are also a central part of their local Democratic organization. They elect local, county, and state Party leadership
  • PCO’s nominate to fill vacancies in the State House of Representatives and the State Senate.

How Do I Become a PCO in Okanogan County?
A registered voter can be elected to a 2-year term as a PCO by their neighbors in the August primary in even-numbered years. Filing to run for PCO with the Okanogan County Auditor is fast, free, and you can do it securely online:
  1. First, click here to find this year’s filing and election dates at the WA Secretary of State website.
  2. Then, click here to file for PCO at the WA State Voter Registration and Ballot info site!
  3. Don't know your precinct? Check your WA voter registration ; or call the Ok County Auditor's Elections Office at 509-422-7240 --they're happy to help.
  4. But don't worry if you missed the election -- you can still be appointed by your local Party leadership to your own precinct (if vacant) or to a neighboring precinct you could easily serve.  To discuss being appointed as a Democratic PCO, email us at [email protected].

Ok County Dem PCOs, Elected & Appointed
Current (as of 4-2-25) Elected and Appointed Democratic Party PCOs in Okanogan County, WA for the term December 1, 2024 through November 30, 2026.

Okanogan County currently has about 240 precincts - the most of any rural county in the State.
Most of our precincts have anywhere from 50-250 voters.  While our goal is to have a PCO for every precinct, the reality is that neither major political party has been able to accomplish this in recent years.

Ok Precinct Map 2014  -- much is the same, but there have been additions.  The County has not published a newer map.  Precincts are getting a major over-haul  this year, though, so hopefully  they will publish the next map in 2026.
